  • Arboriculture

    Crown Thinning

Branches are removed from within the tree crown in order to make it uniformly less dense. The natural shape of the tree is completely unaffected but the ‘Sail Effect’ (wind resistance) is reduced and more light allowed to filter through..

    Crown Lifting

Crown Lifting is the removal of lower branches to improve ground clearance and allow access.

  • Planting

    Tree Planting

We provide a 'planting only' service for clients who have purchased their own specimens, but also require the necessary expertise to unload and plant.

    Tree Transplanting

Transplanting large trees, hedges or shrubs, is surprisingly simple, providing of course you have the appropriate expertise

  • Hedge Trimming

    image

    Hedging and Hedge Management

This involves the trimming of all types of hedges including conifers. We can reduce the height and sides to give a uniformed look. We have a wide variety of equipment and experience to suit all aspects of hedging work.

  • Reductions

    image

    Crown Reduction

A Crown Reduction involves reducing the overall crown / canopy of the tree by a given amount, usually 20-40%. We would do this by reducing the crown area from the tips of the branches being careful to retain the natural shape of the tree species.

    image

    Crown Reshaping

Crown Reshaping is recommended as being a 'once-only' operation to make a tree safe or bring it to a desirable condition or shape. We reshape the crown by cutting back to a side bud or branch to retain a flowing branch line without leaving stumps.

  • Tree Health

    image

    Diseases

Diseases can be classified into two broad categories: those caused by infectious or living agents (diseases) and those caused by noninfectious or nonliving agents (disorders).

    image

    Insects

Some insects can cause injury and damage to trees and shrubs. By defoliating trees or sucking their sap, insects can retard plant growth. By boring into the trunk and branches, they interfere with sap flow and weaken the tree structure.
